Wendy Dickinson, Managing Director

With a background in Nursing since 1963 in various assistant in nursing roles, Wendy completed the NSW General Nursing studies in 1981 and worked as a registered Nurse at Blacktown Hospital and Westmead Hospital.

As Managing Director for a group of Companies, including Occupational Health Professionals, Wendy has responsibility for overall performance of all the companies. Wendy has been actively involved in the human services sector for over 30 years, having founded Disability Professionals, now merged with Interactive Community Care.

Wendy is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Commenced working as an Occupational Health Nurse and gained the Occupational Health Nursing Higher Certificate through Meadowbank NSW TAFE.

Acquired Interactive Community Care Pty Ltd., previously known as Procare NSW branch in 2010

As the Managing Director, Wendy has continued to manage, develop and grow her businesses over the last 28 years to the successful and vibrant group of companies we enjoy today.

Wendy and her husband Ted have four adult children who all have actively supported and assisted in various ways, easing the difficulty one can experience when running your own business.

Wendy has a 45 year old son with Congenital Rubella Syndrome who is profoundly deaf and legally blind and with an intellectual disability and associated challenging behaviors, He also has major health issues again associated with the congenital rubella.

COMMUNITY  INVOLVEMENT

1995 Consumer representative on Department of Community Services Cumberland Prospect area Transition Planning Committee to ensure compliance with the then new Disability Services Act.

Working party to determine the viability of an existing Post School Options service for adults with disabilities to be managed and operated by parents of the service users, resulting in the election of a new management  team to taking over  the auspice of and re establishing  the existing service  now known as Flintwood Disability Services

About 2000 became an  Active Committee member and Chairperson of the Western Sydney Intellectual Disability Support Group.  Until 2008 this is an advocacy group supporting people living in the Metro West Residential Service at Rydalmere and people living in The Western Suburbs of Sydney.

Prior to introduction/rolling out of the NDIS program 2013/14, became a member of the Community Disability Alliance Hunter ( CDAH ) which is a  Service User led working party looking into the NDIS.


Ted Dickinson, Non-Executive Director

In 2005 Edwin (Ted) became a director of Disability Professionals Pty Ltd.  Ted currently has directorship with Occupational Health Professional Pty Ltd and Interactive Community Care Pty Ltd.  He has an oversighting role addressing issues relating to accounts, privacy, safety and security.

Ted provides his extensive experience in criminal investigation, management, and served on multi-disciplined Inter-Departmental  and community working committees for the introduction of policies, protocols and procedures particular relating to the care and safety of victims, including juveniles, aged and disabled.

Ted’s role is to provide oversight of business risk and group financial and insurance audit through the group of companies.

In 2005 Edwin became a director of Disability Professionals Pty Ltd.  Edwin currently has directorship with Occupational Health Professional Pty Ltd and Interactive Community Care Pty Ltd.  He has an oversighting role addressing issues relating to accounts, privacy, safety and security.

Prior to 1995, Edwin served with the New South Wales Police Force retiring as a Detective Senior Sergeant after 33 years service. During this period, he gained extensive experience in criminal investigation, management, and served on multi-disciplined Inter-Departmental  and community working committees for the introduction of policies, protocols and procedures particular relating to the care and safety of victims, including juveniles, aged and disabled. Apart from internal Police qualifications, Edwin has the following qualifications

  • 1981 Supervisory Certificate, Blacktown Technical College
  • 1990 Bachelor of Soc. Sc. (Psychology & Bio-science), UNE

Michael Chin B.Sc (Psy), Director General Manager

Michael has over 10 years experience in providing services to the Disability and OOHC Community Care sectors.

As General Manager of the group of companies including Interactive Community Care (which Disability Professionals merged with), Michael is responsible for delivering sustainable profitable growth, improving operational performance and driving innovation and change.

Michael’s role includes oversight of the business to deliver expertise in recruitment, business consulting services across the group, workforce services and client services. He also has responsibilities associated with major client contract and tender services. He has consulted with organisations associated with people with disabilities and children out of home care.

Michael is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

Prior to  Disability Professionals Pty Ltd, Michael  worked as Manager in Occupational Health Professionals Pty Ltd. He held prior positions with WorkCover NSW, Northern Territory Health Services and South Australian’s Julia Farr Services.

Michael has been with Disability Professionals Pty Ltd since 2001 since the Company began. Michael brings to the Company, extensive experience in risk management, recruitment and general broad management experience.

As General Manager, Michael is responsible for delivering sustainable profitable growth, improving operational performance and driving innovation and change. Michael’s role includes oversight of the business to deliver expertise in recruitment  and business consulting services, workforce services and client services. He also has responsibilities associated with major client contract and tender services.


Stephanie Dickinson, Director Administration Manager, Financial Controller

Stephanie has been employed as Administration Manager for the group of companies for more than 20 years and working in conjunction with an external Accountant and fellow directors overseas the financial management.

In her spare time, Stephanie is a qualified Swim Instructor and has worked with children with a disability learning to swim and currently is a volunteer support instructor with the cocoon swimming club in Western Sydney.


Tracy Robinson, Service Manager

Tracy has 20 years experience working in Community Services, Tracy has Tertiary Qualifications in Social Science, Community Services and Management.

Tracy has been in Management positions for Community Services for more than 12 years expanding business through effective networking and assisting staff to embrace ever evolving organisation and Industry culture. Her role is to oversee the operations and marketing of Interactive Community Care.

Tracy has established innovative models of support for people with a Disability, Mental Health and Leaving Care clients and has been recognised with a Pride of Workmanship Award for commitment and approach to social justice principles for people.


Rebecca Dickinson, Project Consultant, Quality Officer

Rebecca commenced working in Disability Services in 1997; Rebecca has worked in supervisory / manger roles in programs such as Host Family Care, Community Living, Accommodation, Respite and Case Work.

Rebecca has Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood, Diploma of Management, and Certificate 4 in Community Services.

Rebecca commenced working for the group of companies in 2005 as a Project Consultant / Personnel Consultant. Over the years Rebecca has taken on various roles and projects within the company giving her a comprehensive knowledge of the business.

Rebecca currently has a major role in ensuring effective Quality Management processes within the company and working toward industry accreditations.
